It all began at home in the Village of Arroyo Grande, CA in 2012
We had tried many "hot pepper jellies" some good, some not so good. When we found a good pepper jelly we would go back to find it again and it would not be available, or if it was, it would not be as good as it had been the first time we had tasted it. This was very frustrating to us. We both grew up canning with our families and decided to try making pepper jellies on our own.
We wanted to step outside the box so...we stood on another box. We worked on our recipes to compliment different foods as well as the texture and consistency as these were all very important details to us. This went on for about a year and out of that came flavor profiles that we were very excited about and felt you would be excited about as well! Our jellies are technically jams, we do not strain the flesh.
In case you are wondering...the name "Taint Hot" came about after a few drinks and an interesting conversation...we new we had something.
